About Education and Outreach
The education and outreach goals of the King County Mobility Coalition are to inform riders, human service providers, stakeholders, and community members about changes to services, new services, and how individuals and organizations will be impacted. The KCMC achieves these goals by holding quarterly field trips around the county. Input for field trip topics is gathered through feedback from the coalition and past field trip attendees.
Goals
- Improve, clarify, and increase information about new or changing transportation options in King County.
- Identify available information and tools to reduce disparities in underserved communities.
- Support outreach efforts of transit agencies or programs to help increase mobility for transit-dependent populations.
Field Trip Series 2020/2021 is on hold as a result of COVID-19.
Field Trip Series 2019
Once per quarter, we gather invested individuals to explore mobility around the county. We cull lists of stakeholders who have previously attended field trips, expressed interest in attending, and new stakeholders who might benefit from learning about the service. We bring experts from the service or transit agency who can speak to the nuanced details of what might be new or changing to new riders. The field trips are free and open to the public.
